styled: flannel

forever synonymous with lumberjacks and alternative grunge rockers, flannel hasn’t always been the first choice for those looking to stand out. but, fall is the perfect time for you to re-visit this wardrobe staple and make it something fresh and new. flannel shirts, in particular, have great versatility. and, to see what i mean, check out the three outfits below. from casual, down time, and fun, flannel is able to run the gamut. i understand your skepticism.  trust me, i get it. but, just go with me . . . i would never steer you wrong. *wink*
Ok . . . the breakdown . . .
Look One: This is a definite boho-street style mash- up. Say that five times fast. Here a over-sized flannel shirt is paired with a fitted tank and a fitted maxi skirt. The look is finished up with chunky boots, a beanie, and a slouchy bag.  This outfit is a great choice for school, a shopping day, The addition of the body con pieces helps to add shape to this look and keep you from looking like a bag lady. Thank me later.
Look Two: This one is for our inner tom-boy . . . or maybe just mine. But, sometimes you wanna take off the cape and walk among the normal folk, undetected. This look pairs another flannel shirt, used as a light cover, with a fun tee, and distressed boyfriend jeans. It is finished off with some Jordan IV’s but you could easily substitute it for a  pair of chucks.
And, last but not least . . .
Look Three: Dress up that drab flannel! Paired with a body con dress, great platform, chunky heels, and a few simple accessories, you can really add some life to a regular flannel.
